FOL 30th Anniversary Resolution

Friends of the Library Celebrate 30th Anniversary!

In conjunction with National Friends of the Library Week, October 20-26, the Friends of the Library of Hernando County, Inc. are celebrating their 30th Anniversary this month! Founded in 1983, the Friends, a group of dedicated volunteers, have over the years raised money through book sales that have enabled the library system to offer programs, classes, and other special events and services that patrons count on and enjoy.  They have also provided the funds for the purchase of vital operational needs, such a library cards, furnishings, program supplies, and other improvements.  We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our Friends for their fund-raising efforts on our behalf and for their gift of time and commitment in support of the Hernando County Public Library System and the community.

Please show your support of this wonderful organization by becoming a member or renewing your membership.

Membership applications are available online at www.hernandocountylibrary.us under the “Support Your Library” tab, or can be picked up at any library branch or the Little Red Schoolhouse Bookstore.  If you sign up now, the remainder of the year is inclusive in their 2014 membership (Oct-Nov-Dec come free with annual membership for 2014).
